Interim Benefits Specialist

We are seeking an experienced HR Benefits Administrator to manage and oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness initiatives. This role will play a vital part in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and high-quality service delivery to employees across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, terminations, and life events.
- Partner with ADP and third-party vendors to manage open enrollment processes and transmit benefits elections.
- Oversee COBRA administration, ensuring compliance and timely communication with participants.
- Coordinate with brokers and vendors on benefits renewals, escalations, and issue resolution.
- Support annual open enrollment, including system setup, testing, communications, and employee support.
- Oversee non-discrimination testing for 401(k) and FSA plans.
- Collaborate with Fidelity to manage beneficiary assignment campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
- Work closely with internal HR, payroll, and finance teams to reconcile data and manage reporting requirements.
- Participate in regular operational meetings with benefits brokers, vendors, and administrators.
- Handle escalated benefits issues and inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years' experience in benefits administration within a corporate or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of health and welfare benefits, 401(k) plans, COBRA, FMLA, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with ADP, Fidelity, or similar HRIS/benefits systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and vendor relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (PHR/SHRM certification a plus).
