Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service / Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and property maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various HVAC and refrigeration equipment across multiple sites. The technician will ensure optimal operation of heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems while adhering to safety standards and industry best practices. A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians to apply their expertise in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment such as ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Install, service, and repair plumbing components related to HVAC systems.
  • Conduct equipment repairs using appropriate tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment.
  • Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Operate field service vehicles safely and efficiently, including driver responsibilities when required.

Requirements

  • Strong communication; customer service and interpesonal skills
  • Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC, refrigeration, or property maintenance roles.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair, plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and equipment repair.
  • Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and troubleshooting techniques for complex systems like ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R units.
  • Knowledge of electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is preferred.
  • Experience working with air conditioning systems, boilers, or other mechanical equipment is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately.
  • Construction or field service experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driver preferred.
  • Additional skills such as welding or mechanic experience are advantageous but not mandatory. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs with a focus on safety and efficiency. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
