Description

Accounts Receivable Associate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review daily the daily aging report to determine delinquent customer accounts.
  • Monitor assigned customer accounts' delinquency status
  • Perform collections on receivables owed for assigned customer accounts.  Contacts designated customer representative by letter, email, phone, etc. to determine future payment status
  • Arrange payment plans for customers who have an existing balance but cannot submit the balance in full
  • Apply payments to accounts & performs account reconciliations
  • Perform credit & check Refunds
  • Send out monthly statements
  • Release Credit Hold orders up to designated authority limit
  • Perform Notary Functions if appropriately licensed
  • Back up Receptionist with answering incoming phone calls and greeting main entrance guests.  Ensures applicable internal personnel are notified guest has arrived and calls are holding
  • Enroll customers in company specified relationship management software & transaction management software
  • Answer customer phone calls & assist in customer service duties

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years B to B Collections Experience Required

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop cooperative working relationships
  • Must be highly detail oriented and possess strong negotiation skills
  • Must be extremely organized

Computer Skills:

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
