Southern Paws Pet Nanny – Now Hiring Part-Time

Since 2010, Southern Paws Pet Sitting has been Sumner County's trusted provider of premium in-home pet care. We don't simply walk dogs—we offer elevated Pet Nanny services designed to meet the unique needs of each household. As our client base grows, we're searching for compassionate, highly dependable individuals who can deliver exceptional, personalized care.

Compensation for Premium Care

We offer competitive pay that reflects the dedication required for this role.

  • Weekday Pay: $15.00 per hour
  • Nights/Weekends/Holidays: $20.00 per hour (premium rate)

Position Type: Part-time, flexible, year-round

Benefits: Paid Time Off, employee discounts, and referral bonuses

Location: Mobile position requiring travel throughout Sumner County

Schedule Expectations

Applicants must be consistently available during peak service hours, including weekends and holidays.

  • Morning Visits: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Midday Visits: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Evening Visits: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Role Responsibilities

As a Pet Nanny, you are responsible for the well-being, safety, and comfort of pets in your care.

  • Follow detailed instructions for feeding, medication, and routines
  • Perform structured dog walks and exercise sessions
  • Provide attentive companionship during 15–60 minute visits
  • Document each visit and send clear, timely client updates with photos
  • Keep pet areas clean, secure, and tidy
  • Work confidently in all weather conditions

Ideal Candidate Requirements

We're seeking individuals who are committed, responsible, and passionate about professional pet care.

  • Must be 18+ with a genuine love for both cats and dogs
  • Must have a reliable, insured vehicle for daily travel
  • Able to work independently with strong attention to detail
  • Required availability for weekends and holidays
