About the Role

Wilson Building Services, Inc., a small construction maintenance company, is seeking a Project Manager with a background in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology to oversee a range of commercial, industrial, municipal, and civil construction projects across the Houston area.

In this role, you'll lead projects from start to finish — coordinating teams, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring every detail aligns with client expectations, safety standards, and WBS's reputation for excellence. You'll work directly with company leadership in a collaborative environment where your decisions and expertise make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of construction projects — from planning and design coordination to closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information) and communicate clearly with clients, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Lead project teams, subcontractors, and field staff to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Identify potential issues early and develop proactive solutions.
  • Tack quantities and prepare pay applications
  • Maintain compliance with company safety policies, OSHA standards, and local regulations.
  • Oversee documentation, change orders, and progress billing.
  • Use spreadsheets and data tracking tools to monitor budgets, productivity, and materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology [required]
  • Project Management Certification (CAPM, PMP, or PMI-CP) – [required]
  • 2+ years of project management experience in civil, municipal, or infrastructure construction (roads, utilities, paving, bridges, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Bluebeam or similar software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — especially for client correspondence and RFIs and Change Orders
  • Analytical mindset and ability to anticipate and resolve challenges proactively
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
  • Valid driver's license; ability to visit project sites as needed

Pay: $85, $105,000.00 per year
