Athletic Coordinator- PT-IMRF

The Athletic Coordinator plays an exciting role supporting the planning, organization, and day-to-day operations of the Park District's athletic programs. This position offers a mix of office and field work, with flexible daytime, evening, and weekend hours averaging up to 28 hours per week. The start date is anticipated for November or December.
Salary: $20/Hr.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Assists the Athletic Supervisors with creating, organizing, promoting, planning, and evaluating assigned athletic programs.
- Collects and processes team and participants' payments for various athletic programs
- Assists in preparing coaches' packets, coaches' and players' manuals, and other informational materials as directed
- Assists Athletic Supervisors with uniform ordering and distribution, as needed
- Word processes a variety of documents, forms, and reports
- Attends work regularly
- Performs the job safely and in compliance with District policies, procedures, work and safety rules, and the employee handbook
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Additional functions as assigned, which may be considered essential
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting athletics program development and operations.
- Proficient in organizing and maintaining clerical and digital records, and generating reports.
- Strong communication skills to handle inquiries via various channels and interact professionally with staff, vendors, and the public.
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service and promoting Park District values.
- Able to work independently with general guidance and manage time effectively under pressure.
- Team-oriented with leadership abilities and the capacity to build positive working relationships.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic computer applications.
- Sound judgment, problem-solving, and confidentiality awareness.
- Ability to pass defensive driving training and travel between Park District sites.

The Arlington Heights Park District (AHPD) is one of the most noteworthy park districts in Illinois. Located 25 miles northwest from downtown Chicago, AHPD is the 3rd largest Park District in Cook County and the 12th largest in the State of Illinois.
