Position Overview

Nation Security is seeking a Bilingual English/Spanish-speaking Unarmed Security Officer to join our dedicated team in the Coconut Grove area. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in both customer service and security, who are committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for clients, employees, and the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong, visible presence to deter and detect suspicious behavior
  • Patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and address potential threats
  • Monitor premises and surveillance systems for unusual activity
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, including medical, fire, and security incidents
  • Assist with access control, crowd management, and parking coordination
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while enforcing site rules and company policies
  • Provide detailed written reports on incidents, accidents, and daily activities
  • Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and client-specific protocols
  • Act as a liaison between the public and management, ensuring effective communication
  • Cooperate with local law enforcement as needed

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in security and/or customer service
  • Valid Florida Class D Security License (required)
  • Valid Florida Driver's License (required)
  • Reliable transportation and ability to report to the site on time
  • Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and act effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Must own a smartphone for communication and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Coconut Grove or similar upscale, high-traffic environments
  • Certifications in First Aid, CPR, or AED are a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
