Position: Learning and Performance Training Coordinator (Hybrid Remote)

The Learning and Performance Trainer is responsible for developing learning strategies for employee development. Their duties include speaking with program staff and Human Resources personnel to determine training needs, implementing training programs, and reviewing data from previous training programs to determine their effectiveness in helping employees learn and develop skills and/or knowledge.

Location: New York, NY 10020

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, plus two years of experience training or teaching.
  • Familiarity with modern and traditional training methods.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Ability to plan, manage time and multitask effectively.
  • Advanced database and computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Good collaboration and teamwork skills.

Learning and Performance Training Coordinator Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training programs, workshops or courses.
  • Create training schedules, track and create reports on outcomes of all training and assist with maintaining training records for the agency.
  • Use evaluation information from previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training.
  • Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions.
  • Recruit and train new trainers, delegate training tasks to the new trainers and evaluate performance.
  • Promote agency training opportunities for employees and provide information on benefits to encourage participation.
  • Recommend training materials and methods, assist with ordering and maintaining in-house training equipment and facilities.
