What You'll Do

As a Senior Reinsurance Business Systems Analyst, you will communicate with multiple stakeholders to elicit, define, analyze and document requirements for our cutting-edge application development, enhancements and maintenance. You will be responsible for managing, authoring and updating various BA/BSA artifacts along with the various tasks listed below.

Your mission is to help us spread creative thinking beyond existing industry practices for our exciting

new projects and play a key role in seeing them through to completion.

Responsibilities

·       Immersion in the role of a high-visibility, key team member in the reinsurance software product engineering team.

·       Interact with subject matter experts (SME), management and end-users to elicit, define, analyze and document requirements for new projects and their enhancements.

·       Participate and/or facilitate Design Thinking, brainstorming sessions with client users and various stakeholders and with other BSA's and our technical team.

·       Conduct walkthroughs of requirements, business logic and workflows of items in varying complexities, with different business and technology stakeholders in various levels to ensure comprehension and feasibility of requirements.

·       Participate in daily customer and project team meetings.

Produce or assist with a variety of business/systems analysis artifacts including:

·       Facilitate gathering inputs for detailing requirements from stakeholders through various techniques

·       Create requirements documents

·       Acceptance Criteria

·       QA Team Test Scenarios/QA Test Execution/Results Review

·       Presentations for requirement/solution walkthroughs

·       Data analysis

·       System design

·       Data migration

·       Customer training

·       Customer demonstrations

·       Support other BSAs and Engineers as needed

·       Conduct and support UAT testing

·       Support our team's innovation agenda

·       Liaise with other teams – customer, marketing, executives, etc.

Periodic travel may be required.

Skills & Requirements

Thorough Reinsurance knowledge and working experience, including:

·       Strong experience in reinsurance accounting

·       Experience with terms and conditions for Quota Share, Excess of Loss, Surplus, Combined QS, Stop Loss, Catastrophe, etc. types of treaties. Including Fac and Treaties

·       Experience with a major Reinsurance Software solution

·       Experience with Payable/Receivables cash application

·       Experience performing data analysis using Microsoft SQL-Data Analysis Tool is necessary requirement.

·       Work experience in a software company or as a software company customer holding key positions in software implementations

·       Experience in Property and Casualty insurance/reinsurance

·       Exceptional skills in facilitating meetings, documentation, conducting interviews to elicit and write complete and detailed requirements

·       Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, conflict resolution and expectation/relationship management skills

·       Commitment to requirements management practices with ability to control project scope creep and mitigate project risks and constraints

·       Knowledge of writing/understanding/interpreting API documentation
