Job Title: Associate Test Analyst

Location: New Haven, CT

Duration: Contract

Overview:

The Associate Test Analyst supports the full software testing lifecycle — from planning and design to execution and reporting — ensuring applications, systems, and integrations function as intended. This role involves manual and automated testing, data validation, and collaboration with developers and business analysts to identify and resolve defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all testing phases: requirements, functional, integration, UAT, and release.
  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and plans using tools like SoapUI and REST API clients.
  • Perform data analysis, mapping, and SQL validation.
  • Use defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, Bugzilla, JIRA).
  • Support Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid testing environments.
  • Document and report test results, defects, and progress.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 0–4 years of testing experience.
  • Knowledge of software testing techniques, tools, and methodologies.
  • Experience with API, web, and client/server testing.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and Excel skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • ISTQB certification is a plus.
