Summary:

Our Housekeeping staff are the true 'behind the scenes' heart of our organization. An individual who has a desire to serve, work hard, and keep our facilities in excellent condition will thrive in this role. Camp Cho-Yeh has a culture that is deeply committed to excellence and team collaboration as we seek to be a place where Jesus Christ transforms lives through meaningful relationships and outdoor adventures. This role will be focused on our Carolina Creek location (especially during the summer season), but will spend 40-60% of the time at our Livingston location as well (primarily during the non-summer months), working in close cooperation with our other Housekeeping Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

Management Responsibilities:

  • Supervisor for Housekeeping staff, responsible for all hiring, training, and feedback. This is not merely a supervisory role as it does require direct cleaning work alongside staff the majority of the time.

  • Manage Housekeeping budget.
  • Approve payroll timesheet.
  • Order cleaning supplies to keep stocked for appropriate use.
  • Communicate with other departments to stay up to date on cleanliness and timing expectations.
  • On call for employees who may be onsite on days the manager is not scheduled to work.

    • Meeting Halls
    • Dining Hall
    • Offices

  • Linens
  • Launder all linens as needed to keep a constant supply of clean linens.
  • Organize all linens in an orderly fashion.
  • Make beds or deliver linens to areas that need them.
  • Trash Disposal
  • When cleaning areas, dispose of trash accordingly to keep the area looking nice and well kept.
  • Flexibility
  • This role will travel between all 3 of Cho-Yeh's locations as needed (Livingston, Carolina Creek, and Lake). This looks very different seasonally, with Carolina Creek operating largely only during the summer and having year-round upkeep needs.
  • The schedule will include working a combination of weekdays and weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned.
