The role

We are seeking a Market Entry & Growth Specialist that is dynamic and driven professional with a hunter mindset to parachute into newly created or underdeveloped markets and rapidly establish a strong hospice presence. This role is ideal for someone with deep industry knowledge, a passion for relationship-building, and a proven track record in driving admissions growth. This position requires a 75% travel time commitment while the assigned market is being developed, with potential adjustments once the market reaches maturity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Entry & Expansion:

Quickly assess and penetrate new or existing markets to establish hospice services and brand presence.

  • Relationship Development:

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders.

  • Rapid Trust Building:

Educate and inform partners to foster trust and understanding of hospice care, ensuring a warm handoff to clinical teams.

  • Admissions Growth:

Strategically increase patient admissions through targeted outreach and effective relationship management.

  • Industry Expertise:

Leverage 2–3 years of hospice experience to navigate complex healthcare environments and identify growth opportunities.

  • Hunter Mentality:

Proactively seek out new business, identify untapped referral sources, and drive market share growth.

Related duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with medical staff offices, hospitals and nursing homes; act as a consultant to medical staff and hospital committees, as required to provide hospice and end-of-life information
  • Cultivate, develop and enhance contractual and care relationships within the professional referral community
  • Be a communication link to hospitals/nursing homes/physicians in order to provide easy access to all hospice services.
  • Through relationship building and development of new collaborations, assure that optimal access to hospice is achieved for patients/families.
  • Maintain contact database through CRM System, currently RSL
  • Execute marketing and outreach implementation plan

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in hospice
  • Demonstrated success in market development, sales, or outreach roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Deep understanding of hospice care and referral dynamics
