Job Title: Pre-Receive Specialist

Location: St. Charles, MO 63304

The Pre-Receive Specialist supports the quality team by preparing samples and performing pre-inspection checks prior to incoming inspection. Preparation includes unpackaging incoming shipments, counting, verifying that paperwork is present, coordinating Paperwork and quantity discrepancy resolutions with purchasing, entering shipment data, and sorting incoming products by priority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unpackaging and counting incoming shipments
  • Relaying shipment quantity and paperwork discrepancies to Purchasing and placing them on hold until resolution
  • Sorting incoming shipments by Priority
  • This list is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees may perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous picking/packing/shipping experience
  • Ability to read production and shipping documents
  • Experienced with computers, especially MS Office
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings a plus
  • Good communication skills
  • Must have the ability to sit at a desk using a computer for extended periods; stand, kneel, walk and bend as required throughout the workday to accomplish various tasks
  • Must be able to regularly lift, pull, push or carry various types of packages weighing approximately 1-60 pounds and process accordingly

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience with picking/packing/shipping using the criteria listed above
