Security Administrative Support

The Security Administrative Support will provide direct assistance to the Command Security Manager in managing and maintaining personnel security and access control programs. This position ensures that all personnel comply with Department of the Navy (DON) information assurance and personnel security policies, in accordance with SECNAV Series and related directives.
The specialist conducts both routine and ad-hoc reviews of personnel clearance records, audits access authorizations, and ensures accurate, secure documentation of all security-related actions and data across the organization.
Job description:
· Coordinate with CNSL Command Security Manager to conduct scheduled and non-scheduled reviews of security clearance and access control authorizations for headquarters and subordinate command personnel.
· Provide clearance and access control auditing services for headquarters and subordinate command personnel in support of DON Information Systems Personnel Security requirements.
· Ensure all documentation is maintained in accordance with SECNAV Series, Department of the Navy Information Assurance Policy.
Qualifications required:
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with Navy personnel security systems, Navy databases, and related administrative tools.
· At least two (2) years of experience as a qualified Facility Security Officer (FSO).
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Experience with Navy administrative programs, personnel instructions, and correspondence procedures is highly desirable.
