About Our Engineering Team

We're a small team that handles the high-throughput, large-scale, global suite of applications that power We share the responsibilities for devops, frontend, and backend work and all pitch in wherever we're needed. Our team focuses on tight feedback loops and rapid iteration, reducing technical debt and writing code that's easy for anyone on the team to understand. Our product team helps keep features clear and well-scoped, so we can focus on shipping. Most sprints include infrastructure improvements and refactoring, and the engineering team has autonomy to make things better without endless meetings.

We're mostly asynchronous and distributed across the US and European time zones, the only exceptions being a few short calls each sprint. We try to be flexible with everyone's schedules so that no one is expected in meetings super early or late. Our team values great communication, but we don't expect people to be in Slack or Notion all the time, and try to make sure everyone has time to focus. We love doing things well and solving problems elegantly, and do our best to ship quality work as often as we can.
