As a Construction Materials Laboratory Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of construction materials through lab-based testing. You'll work independently and collaboratively to produce accurate results that directly impact project success and client satisfaction.

• Testing and Reporting: Conduct soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt testing in the lab and report results with minimal supervision.
• Equipment: Maintain and calibrate laboratory testing equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Coordination of Others: May assign work to junior lab staff on small to medium projects and provide preliminary review of their testing results.

• You have a High School diploma or GED (vocational training a plus).
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction materials laboratory.

• You have three (3) or more active certifications, such as:

• ACI: Field Testing Grade I, Strength Testing Technician, Laboratory Technician

• ICC: Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)
• You have strong math skills and a solid understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure.
• You have effective communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking in English).

Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as:

• Working in the office/laboratory most of the time, with occasional fieldwork in varying weather conditions
• Walking on hard flooring and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
• Lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of field/laboratory samples and equipment
• Safely maneuvering lab tools and occasionally field equipment on active construction sites
