Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations to ensure the efficient manufacturing of high-quality products. This includes supervising production personnel, managing daily production schedules, adhering to quality objectives, and maintaining optimal workflow on the production floor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Leading and coordinating production activities to meet quality standards and delivery timelines.

  2. Supervising and developing production staff to ensure performance and safety compliance.

  3. Managing appropriate inventory levels and overseeing purchasing of shop equipment, tooling, and materials.

  4. Implementing and monitoring safety protocols and quality control procedures.

  5. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.

  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support operational goals and resolve production challenges.

  7. Scheduling of daily/weekly work orders and departmental staff requirements

  8. Personnel management of employees in assigned departments, which includes determining staff needs and levels, hiring, training, motivating, disciplining and, if needed, terminating employees

  9. Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Quality, and Scheduling departments to maintain a consistent production plan, inventory requirements, and customer satisfaction

  10. Active membership and participation on the Management Team of Broekema Beltway USA

  11. Trained in, and actively participate on, the organizational ISO quality and energy management teams

  12. Perform other duties and activities as required

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing setting

  2. Efficient problem-solving skills

  3. Highly effective written and verbal communication skills

  4. Leadership, coaching and directing skills in order to assist direct reports in meeting their work goals

  5. Above average ability creating and maintaining management tools that utilize Microsoft Office products

  6. Above average knowledge of, and professional experience with, various ISO certifications through either internal or external training

  7. Proactive mindset

Physical Demands:

  1. Position requires ability to access all areas of the production floor

  2. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds on an intermittent basis

  3. Ability to work in an office and a shop setting

Work Environment:

  1. Work may be performed in an office and a manufacturing area setting, which can include hot and cold temperatures

Education and/or Experience Required:

  1. Four-year degree in manufacturing or business-related field and at least 2 years supervisor experience or a commiserate amount of management experience in a manufacturing setting

  2. Background in operating industrial machinery and equipment

  3. Above average knowledge and ability of Microsoft Office products

  4. Experience with ERP systems preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $115,000.00 per year
