Job Opportunity – Payroll Manager with CPN Legal; in Cincinnati, OH

The Payroll Manager is responsible for consulting with clients and addressing their payroll requirements. The Payroll Manager will play a key role in ensuring smooth processes while delivering exceptional service to our legal-industry clients.

Client Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Onboard clients to Gusto Payroll & CPN's internal systems.
  • Audit payroll setups for compliance with state regulations.
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data for clients.
  • Assist with benefit corrections, 401(k) audits, and tax-related issues.
  • Process and reconcile payroll-related entries for clients' employees' benefits, garnishments, bonuses, and other deductions.
  • Guide clients through state registration processes.
  • Conduct regular client check-ins and identify upselling opportunities.
  • Review internal policies for compliance and recommend improvements.
  • Stay current on all federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, and payroll tax regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool degree; required.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role; required.
  • Experience processing full payroll cycles and processes for clients; required.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes and tax regulations.
  • Experience with Gusto preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and prioritize tasks effectively.

Pay: From $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
