An AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate to join its elite, cross-office M&A team —one that handles some of the most exciting and high-profile transactions in the world for clients in the technology and life sciences sectors . This is a dedicated M&A role (not general corporate) offering the chance to work with cutting-edge companies shaping the future of innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an integral associate on public and private company mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions .
  • Draft and negotiate definitive transaction agreements and ancillary deal documents.
  • Manage key aspects of transaction execution , due diligence, and client communications.
  • Collaborate with partners and cross-practice teams to structure and close complex deals.
  • Advise clients on strategic considerations and emerging M&A market trends.

Qualifications:

  • 3–8 years of experience in M&A or strategic transactions within a top-tier law firm.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting transaction agreements and managing deal processes.
  • Strong academic credentials and exceptional analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment handling sophisticated transactions.
  • Bar admission in New York, California, or Washington (depending on office location).
