Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that foster early childhood development, including literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Plan engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods and other innovative teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Support children with special education needs through tailored interventions and early intervention strategies.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and address challenges constructively.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instructional planning.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about each child's development, milestones, and any concerns.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with childcare regulations.
- Incorporate physical activities and tutoring sessions to enhance overall child welfare and developmental outcomes.
- Foster a love for learning by creating fun, interactive activities that encourage curiosity and creativity among preschoolers.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and standardized testing methods.
- Experience with special education practices and early childhood education frameworks such as Montessori or similar philosophies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports children of diverse backgrounds and needs.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; additional training in toddler care or literacy education is a plus.
- Knowledge of child welfare standards, daycare regulations, and best practices in childcare safety and hygiene.
