Title: CAR-T Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Maryland

Duration: 12 months to start

W2 Contract

Role:

This position provides on-site manufacturing oversight at a contract manufacturing organization (CMO) producing a Phase II/III CAR-T therapy. The Person in Plant will act as a client representative on the floor, ensuring quality, collaboration, and operational excellence throughout manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide real-time on-floor technical and issue-triage support during manufacturing runs

* Perform facility oversight, including routine GEMBA walks and reporting observations to both the client and the CMO

* Support investigations, deviations, change controls, and CAPA implementation

* Contribute to technical writing and review of batch records, SOPs, and other documentation

* Support data collection, transcription, and analysis (Excel or similar tools)

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and effective communication between the client and the CMO

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering required

* 3–5 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience; CAR-T or cell & gene therapy strongly preferred

* Experience with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) preferred

* Familiarity with the CliniMACS Prodigy instrument a plus

* Strong data analysis and Excel skills

* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities; proactive "go-getter" mindset

Must Haves: CAR-T, Manufacturing/ GMP

Nice to have: CliniMACS Prodigy, CMO exp
