We are focused on filling these gaps for our customers by providing high quality precision replacement alternatives.We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in expanding our product offerings. Must have experience in SolidWorks / Skilled in Mathematical Calculations / Mechanical Design / Drawing Creation and Maintenance / Attitude for Winning. Experience in extruding polyurethanes, braiding stainless steel wire and coatings applications is a plus.Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.Over 5 years of relevant experience requiredRelocation assistance is not available for this positionResponsibilities and DutiesProvide functional design of components or assemblies.Work collaboratively with other departments on various projects, producing detailed and assembly drawings for fabrication as needed.Develop innovative design techniques to optimize manufacturing processesDesign, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and/or tooling. Take R&D projects from concept to market, determining appropriate process methods and recommending materials.Manage and prioritize their projects effectively to consistently meet business needsEvaluate a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Investigate root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.Generate new ideas, go beyond the status quo.Estimate costs, production times, or staffing requirements for new designs.Proficient with 3D modeling, preferably SolidWorks.Possesses direct experience in supporting manufacturing with the design and development of production equipment, tools and fixturesCollaborates effectively with others team members in the organization to achieve the required results timelyParticipate in creating and maintaining necessary procedures and records of Design & Development as required by the Quality Management SystemQualifications and SkillsComplex Problem Solving -- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.Mechanical Aptitude - Familiar with fabrication and assembly practicesDecision Making -- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.Systems Analysis -- Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.Critical Thinking -- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Manufacturing Disciplines - BOM's / MRP /Drawing Structure / Lean MethodologyEquipment Selection -- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.Product and Process Analysis – Defining product requirements to create a design that achieves product quality and specifications consistently.Quality Management System (QMS) – Knowledgeable with QMS and ISO 13485 preferred.Applications - Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeBenefits: In addition to a competitive salary, training and career development, Healthcare Components Group offers a great benefits package The package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K and many more great benefits.
