This is a full-time, onsite leadership role offering significant influence, visibility, and long-term growth potential. The Director of Operations will serve as a strategic partner to firm leadership, ensuring the systems, people, and processes are in place to support sustainable expansion, without compromising the firm's values of integrity, compassion, and excellence.
In this role, you'll blend operational rigor with thoughtful leadership, overseeing everything from workflows and KPIs to staffing, technology, and client experience. You'll play a critical role in enabling attorneys and staff to do their best work while positioning the firm for continued momentum and scalability.
About the Position
As Director of Operations, you will own and optimize the firm's operational infrastructure, translating vision into execution across all departments. Reporting directly to the Managing Attorney, you will be responsible for building systems that drive consistency, accountability, and efficiency in a fast-growing professional services environment.
You'll evaluate existing processes, identify gaps, and implement scalable solutions that support increasing caseloads, new hires, and expanding marketing and intake efforts. This role requires a proactive, steady leader who thrives in change, anticipates needs before they surface, and brings clarity to complexity.
You will be a key member of the leadership team, helping guide strategic decisions while ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and predictably.
What You'll Do
Operational Leadership & Execution
- Refine, optimize, and build firm-wide operational systems, workflows, and processes.
- Implement scalable infrastructure to support rapid revenue growth and team expansion.
- Oversee daily operations and ensure seamless coordination between attorneys, administrative staff, and leadership.
- Develop, modify, and enforce KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics across the firm.
- Lead cross-functional projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
People & Team Development
- Manage legal, administrative, and support staff in partnership with firm leadership.
- Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and training to ensure consistent, high-quality integration of new hires.
- Implement systems for performance management, accountability, and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative, empathetic, and high-performance culture grounded in professionalism and trust.
Finance, Budgeting & Resource Planning
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Monitor financial health through operational and financial KPIs.
- Ensure efficient deployment of people, tools, and resources as the firm scales.
Marketing, Sales & Client Experience
- Partner with leadership and marketing to align operations with expanding digital marketing efforts.
- Support intake and sales operations, including onboarding and enabling the firm's first non-attorney sales professional.
- Oversee client journey mapping, intake workflows, and continuous improvements to the client experience.
Technology & Systems
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize technology platforms (CRM, case management, analytics, automation).
- Ensure systems are used consistently and effectively across the organization.
- Align technology decisions with long-term operational and growth objectives.
Strategic Planning & Growth
- Execute long-term strategic initiatives in close partnership with firm leadership.
- Help design organizational structures that support growth across attorneys, services, and potential locations.

Education & Experience
Required:
- 5–10+ years of operations, business management, or firm administration experience.
- Proven experience supporting or leading growth in a service-based organization.
- Demonstrated success implementing systems, improving processes, and managing teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project-management skills.
- Experience working with KPIs, dashboards, and performance management frameworks.
- Ability and desire to work onsite in Garden City, NY.
Preferred:
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Familiarity with EOS, Traction, or similar operating frameworks.
- Experience with CRM or case management platforms.
