We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the operations of our Fire Protection Division. This role is responsible for assisting with the coordination and management of both ongoing and new fire protection projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable codes and company standards. Occasional travel to customer sites will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning, scheduling, and coordination of fire protection projects from start to finish.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members, subcontractors, and customers to ensure alignment on project needs and updates.
  • Attend project meetings, prepare progress reports, and initiate and manage change orders as required.
  • Assist in creating job schedules, tracking milestones, and ensuring project timelines and deadlines are met.
  • Analyze job cost reports to monitor budget performance and identify variances.
  • Coordinate the procurement and timely delivery of job materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Work closely with fire sprinkler designers to define project requirements and ensure drawings align with project scope.
  • Help manage day-to-day field operations, addressing any issues or delays and escalating concerns to management as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Prior experience as an Assistant Project Manager or in a similar construction-related role
  • Working knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, plumbing, or related construction trades is a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand construction drawings and technical documents
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the fire protection industry
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office; experience with construction software is a plus)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45, $60,000.00 per year
