Position Summary

Georg North America with operations in Roanoke, VA and Alpharetta, GA is the subsidiary for sales, service, and engineering for the entire GEORG product line in Canada, USA and Mexico.

We are looking hire Industrial Mechatronic Technicians and Automation Engineers to expand our field service team at our Roanoke, VA and Alpharetta, GA locations.

The position will require 70-90% travel to various project sites.

Your tasks

You will support our team with the installation, commissioning and service of our machines and automation systems.

Support expansion and adaptation to the Siemens control system, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic system components while taking into account the risk assessment.

Commissioning of the systems and testing of all functions.

Acceptance and handover of the machine to the customer, including operator training and production support.

Integration and testing of new system components and software modules for existing and new machine applications.

Maintenance and service of existing machines.

Your profile

You are a flexible all-rounder with expertise in industrial equipment installation, commissioning and service. Maintaining a high level of accountability and precision, you ensure that our complex machines and systems operate to the satisfaction of our customers.

Experience with machinery and equipment in the Metals Industry (preferred) and/or TBA lines, cut-to-length lines, slitting lines or roll grinders.

Experience with identifying and resolving issues related to electrical and mechanical system components.

High level of commitment, flexibility and mobility.

Effective written and verbal communication skills. German or Spanish language skill is a plus.
