Graphic Preflight/Prepress/ Graphic Design

Johnson Litho Graphics is in search of a Prepress Operator and/or also Trainee (with on the job training), eager to work in the fast-paced industry of printing

This is a combination of customer service with the main influence on the preparation of customers print files or designed projects to be prepared for the printing process.

Prepress Operator:

Requires Prepress Graphic arts background, with a working knowledge of adobe Create Cloud and other Graphics softwares. Candidate should be able to work with and edit customer supplied files in Adobe Indesign, Illustrator Photoshop, Acrobat Etc. Some limited Graph Design ability is a plus.

Typical Daily work is to take in files, write up work orders, prepare files for printing, make and assemble proofs, edit files as needed, check and troubleshoot all aspects of jobs for printing process, and make plates and or run digital copiers.

Attention to detail is a must, and overtime is required to meet customer needs. This is a rotating shift position between 1st and 2nd shift.

Communication between the office departments of customer service and sales and also colleagues in prepress and press departments to ensure the quality of printing is extremely important.

Individual should have excellent math skills, be very organized and have the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy while multitasking.

Additional Qualifications:

-Able to lift a minimum of 30lb

-Stand for periods of time with occasional lifting/reaching

-Regular Attendance

-Willingness to work overtime as needed

-Ability to communicate effectively with team and to work independently

- Follow instructions and job details per work orders

-Keep machine and work area clean

Hours: Full Time

1st Shift*

1st Shift: M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm or 6:00am - 2:30pm. Overtime could be before or after shift or on the weekend.

2nd shift M-F 1:00 pm to 9:30pm. Overtime could be before or after shift or on the weekend.
