The Tax Accountant is a member of the Finance team and will support the Tax Managers, Associate Director of Tax, and Tax Director. This position also interacts with various members of the Finance team and other K&S departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile various balance sheet tax accounts
  • Analyze tax expense accounts
  • Calculate non-resident partner US and international withholding taxes
  • Compile income attributable to market based states
  • Respond to information requests and notices from US and international tax authorities
  • Create year-end audit and tax work papers
  • Interact with internal and external personnel to improve processes and procedures
  • Perform special tax and non-tax projects as needed
  • Support General Accounting team functions and provide backup assistance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3 years of related job experience as a tax professional
  • Client focused team player with strong time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in preparing schedules and supporting work papers
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Work effectively independently and in group situations
  • Ability to interact with colleagues and all levels of personnel
  • Evaluate and analyze data to determine trends and impact to the organization
  • Solve problems and implement value-added solutions with limited direction
  • Lead ad-hoc projects when needed
  • Complete assigned responsibilities in a consistent and timely manner
