About Us

Apple of My Eye Academy is opening a new daycare and pediatric therapy center in Houston dedicated to nurturing children in an inclusive, family-centered environment. We provide speech, occupational, and physical therapy services that help each child reach their fullest potential.

Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, outcomes-driven Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat speech, language, communication, and feeding disorders in infants and children served in our daycare and onsite clinic. You will collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and an interdisciplinary therapy team to deliver evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care using evidence-based practices and measurable goals.
  • Deliver individual and small-group therapy in daycare and clinic settings.
  • Provide caregiver/staff coaching and home-program recommendations to generalize skills.
  • Document evaluations, session notes, and progress reports accurately and on time; maintain HIPAA compliance.
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary case reviews and team meetings; contribute to care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and quality-improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Texas SLP license (or eligibility) required.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates will be considered with appropriate supervision.
  • Pediatric experience in early childhood, daycare, school, or outpatient settings strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and family-education skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Schedule & Work Setting

  • Work location: Onsite, in person (Houston, TX
  • Travel/willingness to travel: ~25% (e.g., occasional home/daycare collaboration, community visits, trainings).
  • Employment type: Full-time or Part-time; available as 1099 contractor.
