About The Job
CatFace is seeking a talented video script writer to help craft engaging Minecraft and Roblox videos that will captivate millions of viewers daily. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced YouTube environment, is extremely agile, and can adapt quickly to feedback and project direction. We're looking for someone with the passion and initiative to support the production process in various ways, including learning game mechanics, mastering specific tools, and adhering to brand guidelines. If you're ready to bring fresh ideas and energy to our team, we'd love to hear from you

What You'll Do

  • Conducting research before and during the writing process, using analytics to contribute towards an engaged audience and increasing subscriptions
  • Preparing material for scripts, including notes, outline, and synopsis
  • Collaboration with production team and upper management; also cross-collaboratively with internal teams
  • Writing 3 to 4 scripts a week with an eye towards visual storytelling working to meet deadlines
  • Assisting in generating ideas for videos based on current and upcoming trends, finding themes that will catch our audience's attention
  • Researching Roblox games and trends to create exciting and engaging game play
  • Ensuring the logical flow and consistent tone of all writing
  • Attending feedback sessions and making revisions suggested by management on a consistent basis

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years' experience as a script writer or similar role with a strong portfolio of published work required.
  • Excellent dialogue writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the Minecraft platform, its lore, and mechanics or the ability to learn
  • Experience in Roblox games and play
  • Passion for YouTube Content, desire to understand how it works, and the ability to adapt to frequent changes on the platform
  • Understanding of YouTube gaming content, if you are passionate about gaming content it's a plus
  • Must understand and apply feedback on content designed for children and young adults, specifically in an enchanting, playful, romantic and whimsical style.
  • Comedy and mini game knowledge are also a plus
  • Ability to analyze video metrics to increase reach and audience engagement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced entertainment environment
  • Ability to work as on scripts both individually and as part of a team
  • Efficient and timely communication skills
  • A degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
