Now Hiring: Full-Time / Live-in Position Experienced Caregivers for Seniors in their Homes.

  • Are you a compassionate and dedicated caregiver with experience caring for Seniors?

We are looking for CNA's (or PCA's who can certify), to provide personalized care for seniors with dementia, physical needs and companion care in their homes. This is a Live-in position in the Stone Mountain area.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or significant experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
  • Minimum of 5 years of caregiving experience, particularly with dementia and Alzheimer's patients
  • Recent TB test, CPR, and First Aid certifications
  • Georgia fingerprinting clearance
  • Valid Social Security card and driver's license

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living activities: Aid with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure personal hygiene and comfort.
  • Medication management: Provide timely medication reminders and ensure accurate administration as per the care plan.
  • Meal preparation: Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs, promoting a healthy diet.
  • Light housekeeping: Perform tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment.
  • Transportation: Assist with running errands and accompany the client to appointments, ensuring safe travel.
  • Behavioral support: Identify and manage common dementia behaviors, such as agitation, using de-escalation techniques to maintain a calm environment.
  • Companionship: Engage in activities and conversations to provide emotional support and cognitive stimulation, enhancing quality of life.
  • Safety supervision: Monitor for wandering and implement strategies to prevent unsafe situations, ensuring the client's safety at all times.
  • Physical activity encouragement: Promote mobility and physical exercises as appropriate, supporting overall health and well-being.
  • Care plan adherence: Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to follow and update the care plan, ensuring the client's needs are met effectively.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Deep understanding of dementia and Alzheimer's disease, with the ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of following detailed care plans and collaborating with a care team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to adapt to the evolving needs of a client with memory issues, offering flexibility and understanding.
