Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Present menus confidently, highlighting specials and upselling premium dishes or beverages to enhance guest enjoyment and restaurant revenue
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and precision
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to deliver timely food preparation, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
• Serve dishes professionally, ensuring proper presentation and temperature, while accommodating special dietary requests or allergies
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas efficiently to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests
• Handle cash transactions accurately through POS or cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Support sanitation standards by adhering to food handling regulations and maintaining cleanliness in service areas
• Utilize reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings effectively and optimize seating arrangements for maximum efficiency
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote wine pairings, desserts, or specialty items that elevate the guest experience
• Collaborate seamlessly with team members across front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth service flow

Experience

• Proven experience in fine dining restaurants or upscale food service environments is highly preferred
• Strong background in customer service with excellent communication skills and guest relations abilities
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and cashiering tasks
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous experience with OpenTable or other reservation management tools is advantageous
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
• Demonstrated skills in upselling, sales techniques, and enhancing guest satisfaction through personalized service
• Experience working night shifts or flexible hours typical of high-end hospitality venues is a plus
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and check processing are essential
