Position Summary:

The role of the Accessioning Supervisor is to manage the daily operations of the accessioning department and maintain broad knowledge of client preferences within accessioning and pathology related procedures. The Supervisor ensures collaboration with all laboratory supervisors. The Accessioning Supervisor is in charge of triaging the departments workflow and contributing to projects pertaining to laboratory changes. It is crucial that the Accessioning Supervisor is knowledgeable about HIPAA, CAP and CLIA regulations, practices and enforces all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procedures as this position is exposed to environmental hazards within the laboratory such as formalin, communicable disease, fresh human tissue, etc.

Position Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00AM - 6:30PM

Essential Duties:

• Manages all aspects of staffing, including but not limited to scheduling, budgeting and performance reviews
• Analyzes and reports accessioning statistics and error logs which includes ticketing and monitoring major and minor errors for all company's sites
• Designs and implements accessioning procedures
• Effectively collaborate with hospital locations to ensure standardization and optimized workflow
• Collaborates with IT department for new client set-up processes
• Provides back-up when accessioning employees are absent
• Flexible with schedule around workflow
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

• High school diploma
• BA/BS in a science field preferred
• 2+ year of leadership experience required
• Healthcare or laboratory experience required

• Drive to other sites for training and quarterly visits
