How You Will Make An Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components across various projects. You will contribute technical expertise, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help drive engineering excellence.
What You Can Expect In This Role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Technical Leadership
- Provide advanced technical expertise in electrical design, systems integration, and engineering software/tools.
- Review and develop technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
- Resolve complex engineering challenges and support project teams with technical guidance.
- Project Execution
- Manage assigned project tasks, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Collaborate with other departments (mechanical, software, operations, etc.) and stakeholders to align project goals and objectives.
- Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the development and implementation of engineering standards, protocols, and procedures.
- Recommend and implement best practices to optimize engineering performance.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, local regulations, and safety requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and relevant technologies.
What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with demonstrated expertise in technical project execution.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong knowledge of electrical design, systems integration, and engineering software/tools.
- Electronics design and development at component, circuit, and system level.
- Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout and design.
- Microcontroller-based design and development.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and supporting engineering talent.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
- Strategic thinking, hands-on approach, and a passion for engineering excellence.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
Travel & Working Environment
- Hybrid Working Environment 3 days Onsite
- Office Environment with occasional interaction in the production department
- Domestic and International Travel up to 10%
