Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Engineer at Aloft Secaucus Meadowlands, located in Secaucus, NJ. The Chief Engineer will oversee and coordinate all engineering operations, including maintenance, repairs, and improvements to the hotel property and equipment. Responsibilities include managing the engineering team, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and liaising with other departments to ensure the optimal functioning of facilities. The Chief Engineer will also be responsible for developing and implementing energy-saving strategies and managing budgets.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience in maintenance and repairs of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards
  • Budgeting and cost control skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Relevant certifications or licenses in engineering or related fields
  • Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry is a plus
