Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide high-quality patient care in a specialized outpatient facility. Your expertise in physiotherapy techniques and patient management will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Duties

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans as developed by the supervising physical therapist.
  • Provide hands-on patient care, including performing therapeutic exercises and modalities such as trigger point therapy.
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercises, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with medical terminology standards.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.

Experience

  • A valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
  • Experience in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective patient assessment and treatment.
  • Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations and discharge planning processes is beneficial.
  • Previous experience working with diverse patient populations, including those requiring acute care or orthopedic rehabilitation.
