About the Role
We're looking for an
Inventory Specialist
with a sharp eye for detail and a genuine appreciation for vintage furniture. You'll be responsible for precisely measuring, assessing, and recording merchandise received—capturing each item's condition, wear, dimensions, and characteristics according to company standards. You'll also support the photography studio and warehouse operations to help maintain an efficient, well-documented inventory. This role is perfect for someone who's organized, observant, mindful of fragile and breakable materials, and eager to learn about design and craftsmanship up close.
Responsibilities
• Measure and document incoming inventory accurately
• Record condition and descriptive remarks for each piece according to company standards
• Support photography and warehouse teams with item prep and processing
• Maintain organized digital records across platforms (Google Sheets, Shopify, 1stdibs)
• Assist with other operational duties as needed
Qualifications
• Excellent computer and organizational skills
• Familiarity with platforms like Google Sheets, Shopify, and 1stdibs
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Experience in a design-related field (interior design, photography, fine art, or fashion) preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with or without accommodations)
• Ability to handle fragile furniture and objects with care
• Comfortable using basic tools and working collaboratively in a team setting
