KBF is currently seeking an Associate to join our Middle Market team.
The KBF Middle Market group delivers quality tax solutions to KBF clients specifically privately owned middle-market companies and high net worth individuals. As a leader in this space, the group's collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment offers employees the opportunity to work with both high-caliber team members and top-tier clients while maintaining a small-firm atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clients guidance on services related to individual, partnership, corporation, trust, and estate taxes
  • Supervise the analysis and computation of client's proprietary tax strategies
  • Serve as a client service contact for a portfolio of clients; proactively recognize opportunities to provide additional services
  • Manage the delivery of accounting services to ensure technical accuracy and high-quality work product within budgetary and time constraints
  • Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on tax law, trends and developments; obtain deep technical expertise in the area of accounting for income taxes
  • Assist in administrative and operational initiatives as assigned by firm leadership

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Must have completed the necessary academic credit hours to sit for the CPA exam
  • Proficiency in SurePrep and GoSystem Tax RS is preferred
  • Proficiency in individual, partnership, and corporation taxation
  • Motivated, quick learner with strong communication skills and demonstrated professionalism
  • A minimum of 1 year of recent Middle Market experience and have obtained the title of "Associate" or similar designation
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Lake Oswego, OR – Hybrid Schedule
The salary range for this position reflects various factors that influence compensation decisions, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, licensure, geographic location, and other organizational requirements. At KBF Advisory, it is uncommon for a candidate to be hired at the high end of the salary range, as compensation is based on the unique qualifications and circumstances of each individual. The estimated current salary range for this role is $70,000 – $85,000.
