Role Description

This is a full-time role as a Loan Officer Assistant. We are located in Danville, CA however remote employment is okay.

The Loan Officer Assistant will support loan officers with:

  • Setup and management of mortgage files from initial application through closing. Input and update client information in the LOS (Loan Origination System) and CRM
  • Provide customer service support, communicate with clients, and ensure the smooth processing of loans
  • Review files for accuracy and completeness before submission to processing/underwriting
  • Daily tasks include gathering and verifying applicant information, preparing loan documentation, and coordinating with the underwriting and processing teams to expedite loan approvals and closings.

Qualifications

  • Prior mortgage industry experience with active Loan Officer License
  • Clear and professional borrower communication skills, both verbal and written, to guide clients through the loan process
  • Understanding of Underwriting processes, mortgage loan products, guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in managing loan documentation, applications and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or related field is a plus
