Job Description

Inspire Federal Credit Union, a progressive, fast-growing credit union, is seeking a full-time Loan Servicing Specialist. Serving Bucks County, PA since 1936, our mission is to provide the best banking products and best banking experience to members of our community.

The Loan Servicing Specialist contributes to the performance of high-quality service to our members by conducting day-to-day loan servicing functions to ensure the efficient and accurate maintenance of all consumers, home equity and mortgage loans. This position is responsible to perform a variety of administrative support duties related to the lending operations within the Credit Union.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform quality assurance review on disbursed loans.
  • Perform functions to properly secure the Credit Union's interest in collateral on secured loans – includes tracking outstanding recordings to be received (county mortgages, vehicle title liens, etc.).
  • Process the release of loan collateral upon verification of satisfactory loan payoffs – includes vehicle title liens, recorded mortgages, etc.
  • Research and resolve standard to complex issues, member transaction inquiries, and special projects as required.
  • Manage the intake process of indirect loan packages from external dealer partners.
  • Maintain accurate recordation of daily/monthly total originated loans by loan type.
  • Process third party insurance and GAP transactions, post transactions to member accounts
  • Process communication materials to members for maturing open end lines of credit, including home equity and personal lines of credit.
  • Participate in the preparation of documents for internal loan reviews, audits, and regulatory exams.
  • Perform various loan servicing functions on a day-to-day basis as needed.
  • Maintenance and organization of the file room.
  • Support the post-closing and servicing of business loans.
  • Collaborate with management on implementation for procedural changes for improvement and efficiency.
  • Supports other departments by assisting with loan servicing related inquiries.
  • Performs testing as required for new products that are applicable to loan servicing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Real estate loan and/or auto loan experience required; previous banking or credit union experience preferred.
  • Professional, well-developed communication skills necessary for servicing Credit Union members and projecting a positive image as a representative for the Credit Union.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Employee bondability is required.
  • Proficient in using Word, Excel, and PDF applications.
  • Ability to travel reliably to all Inspire branches, company-wide training events, and community events.
