Have a passion for food and strategic trade marketing? Looking to shape the future of grocery promotions at scale? The Business Enablement team within Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) Central Merchandising Operations is seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager to lead promotional strategy development and enablement across our omnichannel grocery business.

This role is both creative and analytical—looking for someone who can develop comprehensive promotional frameworks, establish effectiveness measurement approaches, and enable category teams to execute compelling promotional strategies that balance customer satisfaction with financial targets. You will own building strategy documents that define the vision for promotions across WWGS, determine business impact, and influence technical roadmaps to enable strategic execution at scale.

The Business Enablement team serves as the cornerstone of WWGS's unified retail strategy. In this role, you will establish the promotional frameworks and guidelines that enable category leaders to plan and execute data-driven promotional strategies while optimizing profitability. You will work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders across Category Management, Trade Planning, Marketing, Finance, and technical teams to drive strategic alignment and promotional excellence.

Key job responsibilities

  • Design and own comprehensive promotional strategy frameworks that guide category teams in planning and executing effective promotions across all channels and formats
  • Develop promotional effectiveness measurement approaches and establish guidelines for how category teams should evaluate and optimize promotional performance
  • Establish promotional metrics frameworks and measurement approaches, partnering with Analytics teams to implement dashboards and reporting capabilities
  • Translate strategic promotional initiatives into clearly documented BRDs for technical teams, influencing promotional tool roadmaps to enable strategic execution
  • Lead cross-functional strategic coordination between Category Management, Trade Planning, and Marketing to ensure promotional strategies align with broader business objectives
  • Partner with Finance team to develop frameworks that balance promotional investment with profitability targets and margin health objectives
  • Craft compelling strategy documents and senior leadership updates communicating promotional strategy vision and business impact
  • Drive adoption of standardized promotional frameworks across category teams, measuring success through stakeholder satisfaction and promotional effectiveness metrics
  • Identify opportunities for promotional strategy automation and scalability, working with technical partners to simplify promotional planning and execution
  • Establish governance frameworks for promotional quality and consistency across channels and formats
  • Communicate effectively across teams and levels, balancing needs of multiple stakeholders while maintaining customer-centric focus on compelling promotional experiences
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of developing program strategies and plans, diving execution, and influencing senior stakeholders experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • 3+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Experience defining pricing and/or promotion strategy for a retail business

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
