We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sign Maker/Installer to bring visual communications to life In this energetic role, you will be responsible for creating eye-catching signs and installing them with precision and care. Duties

  • Design, fabricate, and produce a variety of signs using appropriate materials and tools to meet client specifications and project deadlines
  • Measure spaces accurately to ensure proper sign placement and alignment during installation
  • Install signs securely on various surfaces including walls, poles, windows, and other structures using appropriate hardware and techniques
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication and installation processes
  • Conduct site assessments prior to installation to identify potential challenges or safety hazards
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members to ensure the finished product aligns with expectations
  • Perform routine maintenance on signage equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Use testing devices such as ohmmeters (electrical testers) to verify electrical components when required for illuminated or electronic signs
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and installation locations for project documentation

Skills

  • Proven experience in sign fabrication, design, or installation with a strong portfolio of completed projects
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and layout plans accurately
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized sign-making equipment
  • Knowledge of electrical systems related to illuminated or electronic signage; familiarity with ohmmeters is a plus
  • Excellent measurement skills with attention to detail for precise fabrication and installation
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or installation phases
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards
  • Good physical stamina; able to lift heavy materials and work at heights when necessary
