Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Jenkins Engineer Lead Specialist with deep expertise in designing, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines in large-scale enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Jenkins, DevOps automation, infrastructure-as-code, cloud technologies, and modern CI/CD best practices. This individual will lead complex build and deployment initiatives, drive automation strategy, and collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Build, configure, and maintain Jenkins clusters, shared libraries, and pipeline automation frameworks.
  • Implement automated build, test, and deployment workflows for distributed applications across environments.
  • Integrate Jenkins with various DevOps and cloud tools including Git, Artifactory, SonarQube, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
  • Manage Jenkins security configurations, role-based access control, credential management, and upgrade planning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure issues.
  • Define CI/CD standards, governance models, and reusable automation patterns.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, cloud, and platform engineering teams to support continuous delivery initiatives.
  • Lead automation improvements and identify opportunities for eliminating manual processes.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior engineers and DevOps teams.
  • Support monitoring, logging, and observability of pipeline execution and build infrastructure.
  • Prepare technical documentation and maintain operational best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering with a primary focus on Jenkins.
  • Strong expertise with Jenkins Pipeline development (Declarative and Scripted), Pipeline-as-Code, and Shared Libraries.
  • Experience managing Jenkins controllers, agents, scaling, distributed builds, and performance tuning.
  • Strong knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle, Nexus/Artifactory, and artifact management processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and container-based deployment pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform/Ansible or similar IaC tools.
  • Strong scripting skills with Groovy, Shell, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience integrating Jenkins with QA and security tools (SonarQube, Checkmarx, Fortify, Selenium).
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud CI/CD environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience implementing GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux.
  • Background in microservices and cloud-native application delivery.
  • Experience with enterprise security compliance and DevSecOps pipeline enhancements.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, JIRA, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of high-availability Jenkins design and disaster recovery best practices.
