Senior DevSecOps Engineer, Secret Clearance

About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and security-minded Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our mission-driven team. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in secure software development, infrastructure automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. You'll be instrumental in embedding security into every phase of our development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
- Integrate security tools and practices into DevOps workflows (e.g., SAST, DAST, container scanning)
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure compliance and resilience
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in cloud-native environments
- Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews
- Mentor junior engineers and promote DevSecOps best practices across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, or related disciplines
- Active Secret Clearance (required)
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, OWASP, CIS Benchmarks)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or AWS Certified Security
- Experience with zero-trust architectures and secure software supply chain practices
- Familiarity with compliance requirements (FedRAMP, DoD RMF, etc.)
Salary range for the position is $175,000 - $195,000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge. We also offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
