Role Overview

We're seeking a VP of Marketing, a data-driven, creative growth leader who thrives at the intersection of marketing, strategy and AI. This role owns the entire growth engine across paid media, affiliate and influencer programs, SEO, organic, email, and conversion funnels, while driving the creative strategy that fuels performance. You'll architect a multi-channel growth ecosystem powered by automation, AI insights, and relentless optimization.

You will lead a high-performing marketing team, collaborating with creative, strategy, sales, and operations to achieve aggressive growth targets while staying rooted in Thrivelab's purpose: scaling life changing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Growth & Performance

  • Own the full-funnel growth strategy across acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Lead paid, affiliate and influencer channels with a focus on sustainable CAC/LTV growth.
  • Build, test, and optimize landing pages, offers, and creative iterations to scale efficiently.

Creative Strategy

  • Partner with brand and content leads to develop breakthrough creative concepts that convert.
  • Use data and experimentation to inform creative direction, messaging, and audience storytelling.
  • Maintain tight collaboration between creative, media, and lifecycle teams to ensure continuity from ad to conversion to retention.

Lifecycle & Subscription

  • Own lifecycle strategy and customer retention metrics, including churn reduction, win-back, and referral programs.
  • Collaborate with the email agency to optimize nurture flows, onboarding, and subscription communications.
  • Drive improvements in LTV, subscription engagement, and repeat purchase rates.

Data & Infrastructure

  • Implement attribution, tracking, and analytics frameworks for clear visibility into performance.
  • Leverage automation and AI-enabled workflows to scale campaign creation and personalization.
  • Translate insights into actionable growth experiments with measurable outcomes.

Leadership

  • Mentor and manage a growing marketing team across performance, content, and lifecycle functions.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and clinical leadership to align marketing with patient experience and outcomes.
  • Report directly to the CEO on growth KPIs, insights, and strategic recommendations.

Attributes

  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Persistent and resourceful problem-solver — keeps asking questions, testing hypotheses, and removing barriers to unlock growth.
  • Data-informed but creatively driven. Knows that the "why" behind performance is as important as the "what."
  • Highly collaborative, transparent communicator who builds trust across teams.
  • Mission-driven and motivated by impact in health and human performance.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years in DTC growth or performance marketing; experience with subscription or telehealth preferred.
  • Proven record scaling CAC-positive growth while improving retention and LTV.
  • Strong command of performance marketing, lifecycle strategy, and creative testing.
  • Analytical fluency (GA4, Looker, etc) with ability to translate insights into strategy.
  • Experience leading creative strategy and collaborating closely with design/video/content teams.
  • Proficiency with AI-driven marketing tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Jasper, ElevenLabs, Synthesia, AutoGPT, etc.) and marketing automation platforms (Zoho, Klaviyo, or similar).
  • Experience managing teams and agencies in high-growth environments.
  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and storytelling skills.
  • Purpose-driven and deeply aligned with Thrivelab's mission to empower human potential.
