Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing Associate to join our team. This individual will play a key role in marketing the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA Tour), with a strong focus on social media, email marketing, and communication strategies. The ideal candidate is a go-getter, eager to take on challenging projects and work collaboratively with a team. This position offers excellent opportunities for upward mobility in a fast-growing company.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation and Management:

  • Develop, write, and manage engaging content for social media, websites, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
  • Create graphics, videos, and other multimedia content to support marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the UPA brand and messaging guidelines.

Social Media Management:

  • Manage and grow UPA's social media presence across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Schedule and publish posts, monitor engagement, and respond to comments and messages.
  • Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies to improve performance.

Email Marketing:

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to promote events, programs, and news.
  • Maintain and segment email lists to ensure targeted and effective communication.
  • Track and report on email campaign performance, making recommendations for improvements.

Event Promotion:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans for UPA events, including tournaments, clinics, and special events.
  • Create promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, and advertisements.
  • Collaborate with event organizers to ensure cohesive and effective event promotion.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activities.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and provide insights and recommendations based on data.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with the marketing team and other departments to support overall marketing efforts.
  • Assist in managing relationships with sponsors, partners, and vendors.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including maintaining marketing calendars and organizing promotional materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and strategies.
  • Experience with email marketing tools and analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in-person and collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Willingness to take on challenging projects and demonstrate a proactive, go-getter attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for sports and interest in pickleball is a plus
