Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and retail sales, with a strong ability to engage customers and drive sales through effective communication and upselling techniques. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting shopping experience while ensuring that the store is well-stocked and visually appealing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with inquiries, and addressing any concerns.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
  • Engage customers in product demonstrations to enhance their shopping experience and promote sales.
  • Utilize merchandising techniques to display products attractively and maintain store organization.
  • Assist with stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
  • Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
  • Employ effective phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
  • Implement retail math skills to manage sales reports and inventory counts accurately.
  • Promote upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
  • Bilingual candidates are highly desirable to better serve our diverse clientele.
  • Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions and managing inventory accurately.
  • Experience with merchandising and stocking practices is beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also taking initiative when needed.
