HOURS: Mon-Fri, 9a-5p, On-call shifts are required

PAY RANGE: Based on Experience and Skill Set

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Community Manager position reports directly to the Property Manager and is responsible for handling all aspects of leasing apartment units and assisting the Property Manager with day-to-day operations. Also responsible for assuring the Company's standards are achieved and excellent customer service is delivered. This position offers significant upside and upward mobility with the goal of growing into a Property Manager role.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of all aspects of leasing units and documents in accordance with Company and Fair housing guidelines.
  • Works with Property to promote resident retention and execute lease renewals.
  • Ability to qualify all prospective residents and assist with the application process.
  • Negotiate lease terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Inspect all pre-leased apartments prior to resident's scheduled move-in date; coordinate all changes regarding resident move-outs.
  • Market to prospective residents by advertising vacancies, obtaining referrals from current residents, and touring available units.
  • Stay informed about market trends, rental rates, and competitors.
  • Monitor the status of vacant units; inspect all pre-leased apartments.
  • Address resident concerns and maintenance requests promptly.
  • Maintain lease documents and ensures leaseholders are in compliance.
  • May be asked to assist at other communities as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous leasing experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to comply with operational policies/procedures, codes, and regulations
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • A positive, motivating and team-oriented attitude
  • A desire to exceed in a competitive environment
