ROLE SUMMARY

The VP Finance for the Global Biopharma Manufacturing (GBM) Operating Unit will oversee all aspects of financial management and site finance for GBM Operations.  This colleague will be the finance business partner for the Senior Vice President of the OpU and a member of their Leadership Team. The finance organization for this operating unit is approximately 123 finance colleagues.

This position is responsible for delivering timely financial reporting and strategic investment and portfolio analysis, financial processes, and systems to the business as well as maintaining a proper financial internal control environment at all sites. The VP will oversee site finance teams who provide on-site finance support to the business. The VP will be responsible for liaising between Site Finance Leads, Site Operations colleagues, Global Accounting, R&D Finance, Commercial Finance and GBS to meet operational and business metrics.

This position will be a member of the PGS Finance Leadership Team ("PGS FLT") which helps set the strategic direction for PGS Finance ensuring focus on business partnering, process improvement, reporting, compliance and colleague engagement & development.  The PGS FLT also ensures PGS Finance leadership on Pfizer Inc. global initiatives and special projects.

There are currently 24 sites (out of 36 for Pfizer globally) within the GBM network representing a cost base of $11 Billion and which generates revenues of $55B for Pfizer.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for the financial strategy to ensure GBM achieves its objectives
  • Pro-actively collaborates with the GBM organization to deliver Finance commitments and identify / deliver strategic and value drivers
  • Develop annual OpU budgets and LRP aligned with Enterprise Targets
  • Partners with the business leaders and business development teams to identify, assess and execute on business development opportunities.  Ensures rigor of business development case analysis and financial input in investment decisions
  • Play a lead role in the analysis & development of effective strategies for the introduction of new products within the OpU
  • Play a lead role in all OpU for ad Hoc strategic projects
  • Monitor and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial results.  Partner with GBS and Global Accounting in successfully performing month end close activities.
  • Maintain a proper internal control environment.
  • Ensure compliance and consistency to processes and procedures, to ensure business continuity.
  • Member of GBM Leadership Team, contributing to decision making and strategic planning.
  • Ensure that sites are audit ready at all times for either internal or external review.
  • Establish and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Fosters our Leader Values and Behaviors.
  • Oversee all capital investments for GBM including completion of site master expansion plans.
  • Development of staff at all plants – clear communication of objectives and follow-up on attainment of these objectives.
  • As required, partner with external agencies to ensure financial support and relationships

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of experience as Finance Leader and Business partner in complex and dynamic organizations and environment. Manufacturing Finance experience is a requirement
  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance required; Advance business degree (MBA or CPA/CA) preferred
  • Strong financial and business acumen required
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and controls required
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure and to effectively develop business partner relationships is critical
  • Previous experience in managing in a large complex environment at a global scale
  • Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal / relationship management skills, including executive level interactions; successful experience managing managers and colleagues across wide spectrum of cultures and geographies; high performance history of providing clear direction, team alignment, executing priorities and delivering results.
  • Focused on improving processes within and across PGS Finance
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to analyze and assimilate data for critical business decisions in a timely manner
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize/manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a time sensitive environment
  • Growth mindset. Ability to navigate in complexity and taking decisions under uncertainty

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $256,100.00 to $426, In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
