We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the review, drafting, and editing of a wide range of commercial aviation contracts. The Contracts Manager will play a key role in ensuring that agreements are accurate, legally sound, and aligned with organizational objectives while mitigating risk. This position requires strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Requirements
- Review, draft, and edit contracts, agreements, amendments, and other legal documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks while protecting the organization's interests
- Assess Requests for Proposal (RFPs)/Request for Information (RFIs)/Request for Quotation (RFQs).
- Draft and/or enhance proposal response components, including management approaches, past performance, resumes, and more as needed
- Conduct milestone proposal reviews: adjust the proposal development schedule accordingly to accommodate corrective action
- Collaborate with internal business units, including finance, sales, operations, and legal, to align contract terms with organizational policies and objectives
- Serve as the key liaison to TAT's external legal teams
- Negotiate contract language with external parties when required
- Maintain and update contract templates, clause libraries, and standard terms
- Track and monitor contract performance, obligations, and key deadlines to ensure compliance
- Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters
- Support continuous improvement in contract management processes and systems
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; JD (law degree) or prior experience as a paralegal strongly preferred
- 2+ years of experience in contract management, contract administration, or a related legal/commercial role
- 2+ years of experience with Bids and Proposals
- Strong knowledge of contract law, legal terminology, and commercial risk management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to analyze complex agreements and provide practical, business-oriented solutions
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Aviation and Aerospace contract experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners
