About Us

We are building a next-generation automotive marketplace platform designed to modernize how buyers, sellers, and dealers connect. We're focused on leveraging advanced AI and data-driven solutions to improve vehicle discovery, pricing accuracy, listing quality, and overall user experience. We are seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to join us part-time and help build core AI features for the platform.

Position Overview

This is a remote, part-time role (10–20 hours per week) for a highly skilled AI Software Engineer with significant hands-on experience building and deploying production-level AI/ML systems. The ideal candidate has previously worked at companies where AI was a major component of the product and can operate independently in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy AI/ML models for:
  • Vehicle recommendation algorithms
  • Pricing and valuation predictions
  • Search relevance and ranking improvements
  • Fraud detection and listing quality scoring
  • NLP-driven insights from vehicle descriptions
  • Build scalable ML pipelines, APIs, and data workflows.
  • Analyze large automotive datasets to identify performance and accuracy improvements.
  • Integrate AI solutions into existing product architecture.
  • Evaluate new technologies, tools, and model approaches to optimize results.
  • Document model performance, design decisions, and implementation details.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering or AI-focused software development.
  • Proven history of building and deploying production-ready models.
  • Experience working for companies that develop AI-centric products.
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, FastAPI, etc.)
  • Data processing (Pandas, NumPy, Spark a plus)
  • Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • MLOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Strong understanding of model evaluation, feature engineering, and optimization.
  • Ability to work independently and meet weekly deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automotive, marketplace, or e-commerce datasets.
  • Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and LLM-based solutions.
  • Experience building recommendation engines and predictive pricing models.
  • Familiarity with ETL pipelines, data scraping, and API integrations.
  • Background in startups or early-stage product development.
